"You Jump, I Jump..."

New painting. Been a long time since I revisited James Cameron's TITANIC so I felt the urge to paint these two.
It's as syrupy and cheesy as I remember, but it just barely works cause Cameron knows what he's doing and the film absolutely picks up in the second half where you feel the sadness, horror and impending doom for all that perished during the sinking.

Personally I don't think there will be another TITANIC story in the big screen not just cause of what COVID is doing to the theater industry, but cause this one is so part of pop culture, engraved in people's minds and the generation after the next will discover it themselves.
And yes I did well up a little. When she threw that Heart Of The Ocean diamond over the ship, I was like "NOOOOOO you could have been rich." So sad. Lol. 😏
