Avengers 10 Years

Another new painting! Today is typically Star Wars Day, but on May 4th 2012 the first AVENGERS film released to the world.

Like Raimi’s SPIDER-MAN, this movie also changed my life and I recall I was so excited to see the film opening night I had a nose bleed. When I came out of the theater I realized the sky’s the limit for the MCU.

The success of the AVENGERS changed the landscape, so much so that every single studio started to copy Marvel’s formula and failed. The difference is the MCU is backed by people who care/respect the source material.

AVENGERS was integral to solidifying the MCU’s popularity and as a fan of comics it was like seeing the panels I read come to life. I still get nostalgic thinking about this film.
